In the early 1960s, Gravely was a wholly owned subsidiary of Studebaker Corporation of South Bend, Indiana. Gravely was later sold off as Studebaker-Worthington sought other investment opportunities.

As of 2006 Gravely Tractor provides a full line of power lawn implements.
